My advice about the future is to get onboard with the Change Express.

About all the abuse I can take without feeling McCain's 1970 pain. Leave me alone.

Trickle Down doesn't work. Be a maverick. Vote for Obama.

Here is more about this thought. "It’s time that everybody realized that Milton Friedman and Reaganomics is a totally failed policy and until we do realize it, we are doomed to keep repeating it."

More Rovian exposure by Arianna Huffington. She says the internet is stopping Rovian tactics. We hope so.

Sister Mary wrote, "Does anybody really wonder where the faked attack in pennsylvania came from??? This is only from 2005 so it's obviously not completely up to date, but you get the picture."

NyTimes - Spending Stalls and Businesses Slash U.S. Jobs

"Just a year ago, he (Mr. Stokes) and Rochelle, and their two very young children, moved to Phenix City from Fenton so he could take the mechanic job at the Pratt & Whitney plant in nearby Columbus, Ga. Airlines send engines there for periodic overhauls, and when Mr. Stokes arrived 400 workers were tearing down and rebuilding 15 engines a month."

"But as the airlines reduced their flights — and announced 36,000 job cuts, nearly all of them taking place in the current fourth quarter — that number fell to three engines this month and “it was going to be worse for November, just one or two,” Mr. Stokes said."

Good idea, I will follow Matt Damon's lead and stop negativity right now. ~Pop

"On Thursday, Matt Damon said he would not comment on the Republican ticket. He said, ' The Obama campaign has decided to focus on the positive, and I should be a bigger man and be able to do that with them.' "

Here's the deal, it looks like the Democrats are going to pick up close to the magic number that gives a filibuster-proof 60 seats. That means they will be able to go ahead with legislation for the first time in a zillion years - unencumbered by the Republicans.

Video - Todd hoax might have been pushed by McCain aide.

$3280 for two (2) weeks of Sarah Palin's hair and makeup makes the news.

Objection spoken by Lisa, "When Republicans waste their money, they are also wasting our money."

SNL picks Maya Rudolph to play Michelle Obama

John Murtha takes back racist remark. WTAE-TV, Pittsburg - "Murtha, who backed Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton in the state's April primary, told the Post-Gazette that the older population has been "more hesitant" to support Obama. But in the past three months, he said groups he deals with regularly, such as veterans and senior citizens, have decided to back Obama."

McCain campaign worker, Ashley Todd
now says she lied about being attacked by Obama supporter. Fox News VP, John Moody, in his blog, suggested that the McCain campaign may be over as a result. He said, "If the incident turns out to be a hoax, Senator McCain's quest for the presidency is over, forever linked to race-baiting."

I can't wait to hear Barack deflate the rumor that he will have to raise taxes on the middle class to fund his massive America First programs.

Early voting exceeds expectations

Here is Rick Noriega with his Mom and Dad, early voting in Houston. Mr. Noriega is campaigning in Texas to replace John "Rubber Stamp" Cornyn in the US Senate.

But wait, there's more. Ed O' Neill (Al Bundy) from "Married With Children", is stumping for Obama in blue collar regions. Move over Joe the Plumber. Here's one video of him.

Yesterday, Barack Obama in Richmond, VA: "There are no 'real' parts of the country and 'fake' parts of the country."

Bluegal writes, "Send a get well card to Barack's Grandma. Postcards are easiest since they don't have to be opened, and the photos from across the country will certainly cheer her up!"

CC Goldwater at Huffington Post- Why McCain Has Lost Our Voice - Being Barry Goldwater's granddaughter and living in Arizona, one would assume that I would be voting for our state's senator, John McCain. I am still struck by certain 'dyed in the wool' Republicans who are on the fence this election, as it seems like a no-brainer to me.

Yesterday it was the $150,000 for clothes. Then there were the 100,000 people who attended a St. Louis rallly on Saturday. Anyone still in denial should read some of the comments following this article in the Washington Post.

You must remember this; A kiss is still a kiss; A sigh is just a sign; The fundamental things apply, as time goes by.

"They have run out of ideas, ok?" ~ Barack Obama

Obama has spent 21 months on the road and the G.O.P. have found nothing on him.

outrage: THE OLIGARCHY, The Oligarchy, the oligarchy, oligarchy...

Rolling Stone Magazine - How to Steal an Election

Eric Claption - I Shot the Sheriff".

"And rumors are now flying that McCain has proof that when Obama was in the second grade he once ate paste."

This video exposes voter suppression tactics in New Mexico and elsewhere.

Today, we discover that Sarah Palin has spent $150,000 on clothes and accessories proving once and for all, she is not like the rest of us. Also, since the money came from the RNC, the RNC plans to give the clothes to charity. Someone said she is a "one woman earmark". So much for the feigned-outrage over John Edwards $400 haircut.

The Real Scandal
"...when it comes to voting, the real threat to democracy is the nonstop campaign by the G.O.P. and its supporters to disenfranchise American citizens who have every right to cast a ballot. We saw this in 2000. We saw it in 2004. And we’re seeing it again now."

Pink Panther Returns and Pink Panther Strikes Again may the best of the series.

We are watching a 5 disc set of Italy. If you know anyone in Tuscany that would like to trade life style for a year, let us know. bill@texasbabyboom.com

Still no clean bill of health released by the GOP for Pres and VP candidates. That might be a deal breaker. While Hillary exclaims the new slogan is, "Jobs Baby Jobs!"

Obama takes off Thurs and Fri to visit his ailing Grandmother in Hawaii.

Two and a Half Men to watch the boy and the Mother grow older together.

This is a great country. Now, I hear we invented the fortune cookie. Glory be.

I worked on the 1972 McGovern campaign for course credit when I was studying media at UST. The course was called Campaigns and Elections and was taught by Tom Bass. We really wanted to end the war, but our voices were not listened to and in the end, the war continued for a few more years. This time I believe we will end a war with an election. There are too many babyboomers like me out there who will vote for Obama.

We voted.

We are leaving now to go vote the "rascals out of office"!

I understand Obama and Ayers. In 1972 Houston, groups like the Weather Underground and the Students for a Democratic Society were radical groups admired by many in the Montrose area. I lived there during that time. I was attending University of St. Thomas, which was in the heart of the city. We had one of the Chicago 8 speak during lecture week. Obama was in a similar neighborhood in Chicago.

Someone seems to hate democracy
"... this is all about building a post-election narrative aimed at delegitimizing a Barack Obama presidency by claiming he won fraudulently. It's not just a handy excuse for the ass-kicking they deserve -- it's a whole right-wing conspiracy-theory cottage industry in the making that will nurture their paranoia and rage for years down the road."

"It is more likely that an individual will be struck by lightning than he will impersonate another voter at the polls," the report said.

Report a RoboCall to Obama

New York Public Library was on KRLU2.

Were a significant number of Democratic votes flipped to GOP on electronic voting machines in W. Va.?

Taliban beheads bus riders. AAAAAAAArg.

Talking point: The GOP would like to make it seem crazy to be glad over Secretary of State Powell's endorsement. They have already started that with the celebrity endorsement from another babe. We need to focus on Powell's remarks. So, it's the remarks, stupid!

All this talk about Obama being too good at the art of oratory. Who doesn't want to speak better?

Darrell M. West, the director of governance studies at the Brookings Institution, a public policy research group, said, “The biggest socialist right now is George W. Bush.”

Obama/Biden Quote "We can't let dirty tricks and bad information sway this election. We need Texans to step up and spread the truth to other voters -- not just here at home, but also in our neighboring states."

McCain's and Palin's missing health records will make the news in the upcoming week. Mark Levin sells his book on talk show. 60 Minutes showed some great footage of our troops in action.

Mitch McConnell (Rep.KY) may be about to lose his Senate seat to a Democrat. That certainly would have a crippling effect for the GOP.

We vote tomorrow - Straight Democratic! Please. Enough is Enough.

More feigned-melodramatic-outrages - Mahoney who replaced Foley has a private affair. He is a real drip. Thank you Mahoney for coming out of the wood work

106 year old - Ann Nixon Cooper endorses Obama

What is with these feigned-melodramatic-outrages such as outcries against "lipstick on pig".

Colin Powell endorses Obama today at 10:00 on Meet The Press. Watch here!

UT has a good team - Final - #1Texas 66 Mizzou 31. I watched this game and updated the website as the score changed.

We are not ashamed of being Texas; we are ashamed of George Bush and what he did to Ann Richards

In case you haven't been watching, UT is about to play Missouri here at home in football.

This is getting so juicy, I do not know if I will be able to last until the election. What is next? I can't wait. Stay tuned!

"Watch Jill Biden talk about the importance of phonebanking and make a few calls herself", says Obama.

Figure this one out. Obama Rally in St. Louis draws one hundred thousand (100,000) Americans.

Editorial endorsements of Obama from newspapers across the nation.

We are back from the movie. I did not laugh. I would not see it again. People tried to laugh, but it was not funny. It exposed him for what a poor manager he is. If you don't give and damn and you are not good at anything the results are inevitable.

The first showing of W. is at 12:45 at the Gateway Theater in the Arboretum Shopping Center. The theatre is usually pack for big movies like this, so I expect a lot of fun hooting and hollering.

Hayden Panettiere. We loved her performance in the movie - "Racing Strips". A babe for sure. When Lisa saw this she said "Oh, wow!" Apparently, Hayden is not voting for McCain.not appropriate for work!

Denver Post Endorses Obama: "It's Time To Change Course"

LA Times Endorses Obama: "He Represents The Nation As It Is, And As It Aspires To Be"

We are going to see W. tomorrow.

Wanna know who Obama is? Just ask The Chicago Tribune. They wrote, "Many Americans say they're uneasy about Obama. He's pretty new to them. We can provide some assurance. We have known Obama since he entered politics a dozen years ago. We have watched him, worked with him, argued with him as he rose from an effective state senator to an inspiring U.S. senator to the Democratic Party's nominee for president."

Lisa's with her new doctor, Dr. Bunch.

Joe the Plumber is unlicensed. Makes $40k, which means he gets $500 back when Obama's plan is put into action.

An RNC robo call which may be illegal in some states. The call is a bunch of lies perpetuated by McCain that Obama disproved in the debate. I predict that McCain and the RNC will feel the heat over this.

Watched the debate again after lunch. Obama is the obvious winner. Lisa really enjoyed watching it again. I challenge any McCain supporter to watch it again.

Mc Cain is on the wrong side of history

Breaking News - Cooper Anderson will dance on CNN

October 14, 2008

I can only remind you that the Republicans have been in charge forever. Where is their blame? Why vote them another term? What have they done to deserve it? They had a lot of fun, cashing in their political capital, I know that.

Now the treasury is hurting and it is time once again for the Democratic party to save the economy from another Bush.

I mean, the Republicans talk a good talk about economics; but look what happened today. The president said we are having to bail out the banks in what we have been told is a free market system. What a lie that has been - the free market economy, trickle down by giving the rich more to spend.

Socialized Medicine got a real bad name. Republicans were able to make the word socialism sound bad. Aren't they the clever ones. The awful word - SOCIALISM. Now they embrace it. Welcome to Socialized Banking. Thanks Bush, you made my day, you idiot. I would rather stand in line for health care than have no line to stand in, and no alternative. It works in Europe says Lisa.

The party has made no accomplishments that I can see. They are about to lose the House and Senate again as they did in 2006. How stupid is that! You think they would have done some kind of good things they could spin. They did not. Why? My guess is they are incapable of doing one good thing. Let's see what were the big issues of the last 8 years? Not jobs. Not Health care, not education, not equal pay for women. You know? Gosh, the Republicans could have helped themselves if they all stood up and said, "We think women should earn the same as men for the same work!" But, they didn't get it. Stupid. Women do deserve equal pay.

So, now what's left to do? They had a brilliant idea, let's act like turd blossoms and discredit the Democrats. Gee, I hope they are not my leaders come January 20, 2009. Enough is Enough vote Democratic.

Around this house, we like to think of Obama as a halfrow, raised by his kindly white grandparents. :)

Besides, Bush just turned the country slightly Socialist today. Wait, does that mean Bush hates America? He talks about socialism as if it were bad...then bails out the free market. The whole idea is beyond belief. Their most sacred Republican practices are being revealed to be only matters of convenience. Today, it is convenient for Bush to embrace Socialism. Tomorrow, who knows. At least he will be gone soon.

Joe Biden said McCain is seeing the presidency move from his grasp and that is why he is trying to scare people with race, religion and terrorism. It was all about McCain and his lust for power from the beginning.

John McCain

Bush Strategist: McCain Knows He Put Country At Risk With Palin Pick
"No, I don't agree," said Mark McKinnon, a former McCain aide, after chiding Dowd for claiming particular insight into McCain's soul.

"Well," responded Dowd, "that's even more disturbing than my thought" -- the implication being that it would be truly frightening if McCain didn't know how bad Palin truly was.

Joe Biden

Wow, Biden hit a homer when he started hollering, "We will end this war". That's enough for me. I'm easy.

Matt Damon

Dennis Hopper

"I voted for Bush, father and son, but this time I'll vote for Obama," he told journalists at the opening of a show on his life and work.

"I was the first person in my family to have been Republican," he added. "For most of my life I wasn't on the left."

"I pray God, Barack Obama is elected," he said, calling the current administration's many "lies."

Sarah Palin

Andrew Sullivan

Conservative blogger Andrew Sullivan comments about Sarah's recent remark for the press that she was vindicated of ethics violation when in fact she was found to have behaved unethically in troopergate.

He said, "If a public official refuses to acknowledge reality and invents an alternative reality to live in, she cannot be vice-president, let alone president, of the United States. This is not a judgment call. We have a denialist loony on one of the major tickets.

George Bush

Richard Lewis

Yes, I heard Richard Lewis talk about sending drunk emails on Olbermann. Olbermann goes over the top with his comparison of McCain to the little monster in Lord of the Rings. So, turn the sound off until Richard Lewis talks. He makes good points.
